Lola Christina’s house of pussy cats in all their glory: cat face, the body, its tail. Whether you’re a cat lady or not, you can’t deny the sweet yet feistiness of this piece. My House of Pussy is a dedication to black cats. My cats are black because black is beautiful. Black cats are the least adopted and are associated with bad luck. In actuality the opposite is true, black cats bring good luck and fortune. In fact they make the best familiars and its why they’ve been persecuted and left to die for centuries- to prohibit the magic that can occur between a woman and her kitty. In 2005 Lola met Fifi at her friends house who found her on the exit of a freeway so far out in Oakland, it was almost Hayward. The next day she took Fifi to the vet for her well being. Needless to say Christina was never the same. These pieces are truly inspired by Princess Fifi Abdo Amar- straight outta Oakland. Display on wall or leave it in your box.
